Why does christ love us
All right. If God is love, and I am unlovely, then I can't say that He loves me because of what's in me. I have to say He loves me because of what's in Him. God loves me because it is the character of God to love. And if I accept that love, God loves it when I accept His love.
He wants all of us to accept His love. Now, God has certain conditions upon which we please Him, but no conditions upon which He loves us. At other times, we doubt his love because our sin seems too big to forgive. And honestly, at times we just have a hard time wrapping our minds around the notion that the creator of this huge universe would care about us.
Your influence in this world is rather puny. Your natural resources are few and far between. God loves you because of who he is. How could God love us? Sadly, sometimes Christians are known more for judgment than for love. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
There is no law against these things! Galatians His Spirit also allows you to love with a love greater than you could have on your own.
