Can you run mls on mac
One of each is not a bad way to go. Glad your neurons are firing today! Fred, I'm glad to hear that Parallels seems to do the trick. I recently sold my G4 iBook while it was still worth something, you know how fast computer hardware drops in price with the intention of getting either a new MacBook or MacBook Pro in the near future.
I was still leaning a little toward getting a cheap Dell laptop just for real estate stuff but would rather not. Would be curious to know. Also Fred, what contact management software are you using on the Mac, if any? I'm test driving Daylite from MarketCircle Software www.
How do you post links in these comments? John Willis, I hear you on the alternate browser thing too. I love the way Microsoft takes an established standard and "makes it better. They hate Firefox and any other non IE browser. Ugh, what's a geek supposed to do?! Their fears are baseless because everything the ActiveX controls do can be done using open standard software.
Java, javascript, dynamic HTML, and many more technologies are more than capable. Moreover, ActiveX in browsers can be a real security risk. Virtual PC is too slow and now that Microsoft owns it, it is going nowhere.
Parallels is much better in every way. It is quite snappy on the new hardware. However, this requires you to buy a new machine. This brings up a question If the local BOR was really interested in promoting the membership, why not select one of the MLS systems that support industry standard web browsers, that one not hogtied to a single, proprietary browser?
Linux, Mac, Windows, so why the artificial constraint? Gerald, I do not dual boot and do not like parallel. I am a computer geek and I hate slow performance. I have had 2 macs now for 2 years, both the iMac and the Macbook and it makes life way too difficult. I have the bootcamp application and I can log into and out of both Mac and Windows. Problem is that Windows runs out of memory and continues to add updates that you cannot remove without compromising the entire Windows OS.
Currently my mac only has 2 gigs of RAM or I'd consider trying to run parallels and having windows 7 run inside for access. Until then, this will have to do. Steven, do you do most of your work through the Innovi tab on a mac? Lock We hate spam just as much as you. If you signed up for BiggerPockets via Facebook, you can log in with just one click! Interestingly enough a few months ago, they rolled out our forms available on the mac though - which I thought perhaps was the first step towards the mls system going through I'm going to check this out in a bit - is there a charge?
Our MLS just added mac and firefox compatibly last week. If you MLS is run by Rapattoni it probably mac compatible now. I hate windows and internet explorer because they can be so unreliable at times. Before that I could access it with citrix irc client on my mac. Oct 21, Version 3. Ratings and Reviews. App Privacy.
