I don't care that much about end-game stuff, as there is no end; it just goes on and on for better or worse.

But, at least in the levels up to , what you work for you get to keep and use from expansion to expansion. That seems to have flown out the window after Rise of Karnak lvl And except for buying the latest expansion, RoS, and a few bucks here and there for mercs and other stuff that can be handy, your initial financial investment should give you many months of free play. And I would suggest you take your time leveling up as the fun is in the journey and not the destination.

Tanto , Apr 17, The current "endgame" is a weird amalgamation of pain and suffering designed to milk money out of people who can't let go, and the "mechanics" dev doesn't play the game so it leads to a lot of moments and years of stagnating issues that are ignored. I would pass unless you just want to level lock and explore old quests and areas, in which case there is years of quests to do, but you better like soloing.

I think if a game is worth playing even for a year you should try it. The old areas and quests in this game are really worth exploring and playing. You will have to solo and use a merc though that is a given. Be prepared for that and you should be able to enjoy yourself. It just popped up in my head, I remember years ago spending 75 quid on this game, not sure what I got for it, but I can't recall if it was a monthly fee or somewhere I still own the game, worth playing again or has it dissipated into nothingness.

I have no idea whether there have been fundamental changes made since you played, but almost no MMORPG tends to go too long without introducing massive changes. Might check out some videos and maybe download it, I stopped playing due to the performance on a C2D E with an GTS was absolutely horrible! Played the beta, grafix was amazing at the time, but you know wow came along and ruined all mmorpgs.

Absolutley loved it, it had so much content and back story, great community as well in the old days.
